Brocaded Textile Mending Kit

Developed in collaboration with the weavers in San Juan Cotzal, our Mending kit comes with everything you need to patch your favorites pieces, making it an excellent travel partner or a beautiful addition to your sewing basket. Sewing notions included are: five bundles of naturally dyed threads three postcard-sized pieces of handwoven fabric, some naturally-dyed a small textile piece for quick fixing a high quality needle two of our handmade ceramic buttons all tucked into the inside pocket of a handwoven Cotzal container, framed in a sturdy hand-stitched carrying case.   This is listed as a Mending Kit but we also think of it as a Making Kit! There is plenty here to explore embroidery stitches, make small threaded landscapes, or even a book with a button closure. We also think this item is perfect for gifting.
