Maitake, Hen of the Woods, (Grifola Frondosa) is known as the “king of the mushrooms.” It was first discovered over 2,000 years ago by a group of Buddhist nuns and woodcutters in Japan. Maitake provides adaptogenic support (ability to adapt & recover from stress), supports healthy blood sugar, healthy blood cholesterol, antioxidant, immune health and maintains efficient metabolism for weight management. In order to provide the most benefits from the mushrooms, my tinctures are made using a dual extraction method of gluten-free alcohol (distilled vodka and grain) and distilled water.
