DIY stitch the design: sheila hicks weaving
This tiny, densely stitched piece is an ode to my favorite Sheila Hicks weavings. The original works live in my favorite art books; the pages have been marked as inspiration for years. I look to them because the patterns, movement, and colors are unusual and appealing. Each little stitching is intended to adorn your wall or be worn as a necklace. It can be finished as a pocket or a square.
