“Found You There” Antique French Framed Oil Painting Set - 12" x 14.75" ea

Painted/named from a poem by Gail Elder James. A milky way scene stretching across two panels, nestled in antique French sister frames from 1869. The milky way is regarded as a “road of souls” of sorts across many cultures and beliefs. I’ve been painting a lot of milky way skies lately to process some heavy grief. I’d like to think this set represents the ones we’ve lost and how beautiful the journey hopefully is for them. Moreso, these scenes were purposefully painted as a diptych so that the scenes represent linked souls, together but separate. I wanted this set to be able to be hung together in one place, or one kept and one gifted to another yearning heart that also experienced loss. (I.e. Two sisters each owning a panel after losing a parent, etc.) Oil on hardboard. Each painting is 9.75” x 12.5”. Each frame is 12” x 14.75”. This listing is for the set of 2 paintings in 2 frames.
