The Padding of Circumstance

11x14 graphite and colored pencil drawing on Strathmore toned paper    I took inspiration from old athletic padding as well as some armor elements to try to convey how people pad their ego with circumstances to soften blows. Like when I lost my job in January I did this saying I didn't really like my job anyways. It still hurt a lot and that not so severe mental state I let happen sent me into a depression that harmed my relationships with friends and family. Now I do realize that it did hurt and I liked that job just was burnt out. No, it wasn't my calling in life but it was good people and a good company for the most part.Thanks for reading all this if ya can drop a like or share that would be awesome
