Twig Pins

My Twig Pins all start from a branch of a River Birch in my yard. I find a section I like, cut it to size and dry it. I rout a groove in the back, fit a stainless spring steel pin back I cut from piano wire, and affix that into the twig . My daughter Roxanne seals it, applies a coat of Gesso, then uses lacquer to give it color, and finally seals it again. The colors are iridescent lacquers or acrylics with a clear lacquer finish. I add iridescent bright gold acrylic accents. I finish these designs with various sizes and colors of pearls which I attach by pegs. Dimensions are listed in individual descriptions for each pin.
