Leitz "Eins Zwei Zero" Chardonnay Pfalz, Germany NV (Non-Alc)

This wine is gently dealcoholized yet remains true to the category in a contemporary, but not “modern”; it has soul and character.  Pairing Ideas: The Leitz EINS-ZWEI-ZERO Chardonnay offers an appealing character that is clean and fresh with fresh fruit and citrus notes—accompanied by the underlying mineral base. The finish is dry and has a relatively long aftertaste. As we all know, like fat, alcohol is a transporter of flavor; without it, there needs to be something else to carry those flavors. Of course, an alcohol-free wine never will give the same depth, structure, and weight as a wine with alcohol, but this is extremely close to it, and it is simply an alcohol-free wine. Impressive.
