Jonathan's Hot Take Description: This is one of the top professional general purpose blades on the market for good reason. The carbide teeth are massive, and it’s amazing at removing a lot of material while keeping the cut cool. When I am doing a bunch of random cuts in hard or soft wood, this is the blade I reach for. Because it has 40 teeth at a high angle, it really excels at getting decent rip and cross cuts, especially in plywood and thinner hard or softwoods (less than 1"). If you're cutting thicker than that, I would go with dedicated rip or crosscut blades. This general purpose blade is tied with my combination blade as my most used blade in the shop. It’s my go-to blade for making jigs and smaller projects without a lot of milling. The chrome coating makes it easy to clean, which really extends its life.
