Machined cutouts are used to reduce weight. The front of the adapter features female threads for attaching circular filters. The depth has been designed to accommodate most circular filters to be able to work in conjunction with the drop-in 4x5 filter trays. This allows for a “bonus” filter to be used keeping your matte box setup as light as possible.  A bearing groove around the outside of the adapter catches inside the 95mm Lens Clamp Back and acts as a safety catch for your KONDOR BLUE Matte Box.
