Expect lighter or darker spots.All fabric has a fiber content of 55% linen and 45% cotton in natural, yarn-dyed, ivory and white and then overdyed with mx fiber reactive dye and washed again. The fabric is a bit heavier than traditional quilting cottons but has a beautiful texture from the linen. It has a very lived in look which is so comforting and cozy for home projects. The fabric has been washed a few times before coming to you so it is ready to be used right away. Some of the fibers stretch more than others so I suggest a light spray of water and dry iron.  Wash on a cool, gentle cycle and remove promptly to a low tumble dry.
