As a kid, I had so many people I cared about, but I didn’t really know how to show up for them. Even in college, I stumbled. My mind was heavy, and for years doctors thought I might be bipolar. It wasn’t until much later that I learned it was a medication causing manic-like episodes. Now, in my 30s, I finally know what it feels like to have a circle I can lean on. A team that offers not just support, but a kind of love that doesn’t waver. This painting is my love letter to the friends who soften the fall, and make landing a little less frightening.
