
Sentence Shuffle Center Activities for 2nd Grade | Year Long Literacy Centers
These Sentence Shuffle Yearlong Literacy Centers for 2nd Grade are a HUGE time-saver! Teach the directions once, and students can complete 38 different sets of the activity. Students will build reading fluency, comprehension skills, critical thinking skills, and writing skills with these engaging tasks! This solo activity is no prep and easy to set up! Two types of tasks are included: 1. “Sequence & Finish the Story” Activities: Students read decodable sentences (see skill list below), sequence them to create the beginning of a story, copy them over, and finish the story using their creativity. 2. Sentence Sorting Activities: In the “Sentence Sorting” activities, students read sentences, sort them (e.g. complete vs. incomplete sentence), and copy them over into the correct column on their recording sheets.
