This 8” economy chef was forged from 1084 high carbon steel. I left some forge texture and added a machine finish as opposed to a hand sanded finish wearing dark blue micarta handles on Tiffany blue (powder blue for you heel fans out there) liners. This knife possesses all of the qualities of my top tier chef knives without any frills.
