1952 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible Both the Oldsmobile Super 88 and the top-of-the-line 98 shared the 303 cubic-inch Rocket V8 engine equipped with a Rochester 4GC four-barrel or Carter WGD four-barrel carburetor, and delivered 160 hp. Although sharing the same powerplant, the Super Eighty-Eight had a shorter wheelbase and smaller footprint that it shared with the entry-level Deluxe Eighty-Eight.
