Somewhat tapering trunk can be 12 inches thick. Leaves are grayish green. Height to 25 feet with a 7-9 foot spread.   Prefers alkaline to neutral well drained soils and full sun. Growth rate is slow. Can handle brief cold dips to the high 20s.
