Fuyu Persimmon

Unlike our native persimmon, 'Fuyu' produces non-astringent fruit that boasts three qualities not found in our native tree . . . Its fruit lacks a core, seeds and tannins! Tiny spring flowers turn into fruit that is a pumpkin orange color, both its skin and flesh, and when ripe, in September and October, 'Fuyu' possesses layers of flavor, reminiscent of pear, dates and brown sugar with nuances of cinnamon.
