Meditations in an Emergency by Frank O'Hara. 1967 Grove Press second edition, second printing, 52 pages. O'Hara was a poet and art critic who was an integral member of the group of poets known as the New York School, and gained popularity with his book Lunch Poems. He was a major influence on the poets who came after him. He suffered an untimely death caused by a dune buggy accident when he was forty. Meditations was his third book of poems.
