Tree of Dreams
WashingtonFinding the perfect tree is such an amazing task. It sounds easy, but it’s not! All the elements need to be right - soft lighting, no wind, the perfect shape - and the hardest of all - the background and sky. My search went on for days. I traversed the state - walking, hiking, driving, flying, all to track down what I wanted. The image was in my head, I just had to find it. Torrential rains for two weeks straight hindered the process even more. It never stopped raining. The locals told me that this weather pattern set the blooming cycle back two weeks - just what I didn’t need to hear! At the end of the second week, my patience was extremely minimal. I knew it had to turn up. One of the locals told me about a location that he thought might work. Normally these type of leads go nowhere, but by this point I had no other choice but to follow it up. As I hiked around, I caught a glimpse of bright pink in the distance. The weeping cherry tree presented itself in all its glory. A
