Village After Snow | Canvas

Ever since I was little, one of my my favorite holiday decorations has been the colorful little Christmas houses just like these. (Especially when they are dusted with glittery "snow!") This holiday, I knew I wanted to create a painting that captures their whimsy. One of our favorite parts about this painting is the sparseness of the sky, and the essence of that quiet stillness that can only follow a blanketing snowfall.
