Our Cowrie Shell tote is perfect for a trip to the farmers market or a day at the beach. Handcrafted in Ghana by skilled female artisans, woven in elephant swamp grass and adorned with cowrie shells- a symbol of destiny, prosperity and strength. The handle is wrapped in a gorgeous hand loomed Burkina Faso textile.  We partner with a non profit organization that supports women's empowerment by providing education, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship training and access to a global export market.
