The rum is aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years, which helps to give it its rich, amber color and complex flavor profile. During the aging process, the rum takes on flavors of caramel, vanilla, and oak, which contribute to its smooth and mellow taste. To produce Goslings 151 Rum, the molasses and aged rums are carefully blended together and left to mature in oak barrels for at least three years.
