
El Jolgorio Tobala Mezcal 750ml
El Jolgorio, which translates to "the revelry," is a brand of traditional mezcal that has been an integral part of small festivals known as "jolgorios" in remote mountain villages throughout Oaxaca, Mexico. These festivals commemorate significant events such as births, deaths, weddings, and Saint's days. The Cortés family, in 2010, began building a collective of top mezcal distillers from different regions of Oaxaca, Mexico, and as of 2019, El Jolgorio represents sixteen different families, each with its own special story. Every bottle is meticulously marked by hand with the specific details of each batch, connecting the drinker with the family behind the expression. In 2017, the El Jolgorio team realized that certain varieties of agave would only be available in extremely limited quantities, and they began packaging these rare editions in black bottles to set them apart from other releases.
