G.E. Massenez is a long family-owned French distillery, located in Überherrn in the northern Grand Est region. Established in 1827 by Jean-Baptiste Massenez, the distillery is still managed by his descendants today. Their Poire Prisonniere Pear Brandy is made from pure pears, slowly distilled in copper alembics to produce a clear eau-de-vie packed with pear flavor. The Poire Prisonniere is best enjoyed neat, as an aperitif, or in cocktails.
