Hematite Coated Quartz Approx. Dimensions: 3 x 0.75 x 0.5 inches Approx. Weight: 30.6 grams Locality: Pamir Mountains, Badakshan, Afghanistan Acrylic stand and putty are not included. From the Pamir Mountains in Badakshan, this quartz point has a sparkly coating of specular hematite on the back three sides. The formation of the hematite somewhat impeded the growth of the quartz crystal on these three sides, as can be seen from the slight depression towards the termination of the crystal.
