The Red Dot Pistol Instructor Course is a 24 hour (3 Day) Idaho POST certified instructor course designed to provide law enforcement officers the knowledge, skill and ability to provide instruction in the proper use and employment of a duty handgun equipped with a red dot sight (RDS) in the performance of their duties.  Further this course will cover policy considerations, program development and implementation, selection, installation, care and maintenance of the sight, RDS course of fire development, instructor development and teach backs. PREREQUISITES:  This class is restricted to law enforcement EQUIPMENT LIST: Red Dot Sight (RDS) equipped handgunHolster that accepts an RDS Pistol Duty Belt with duty pouches 3 magazines1000 rounds handgun ammunition minimum (1500 rounds is ideal) Soft body armor (as required by range facility)
