Fair Isle Sweater

Our Fair Isle Sweater class is the perfect introduction to the world of colorwork yoked sweater knitting! First, you’ll choose your pattern: Rockfall, Soldotna, or Goldwing  (shown L to R in the photo). Then, you’ll learn to knit a sweater from the top down. You’ll knit your colorwork yoke and then separate the sleeves and body of the sweater and knit them. Weave in the ends, and you’ve got yourself a new sweater!  Materials: Pattern, yarn for your chosen size needles to obtain gauge, stitch markers, stitch holders, tapestry needle.  Homework: Please come to the first class with your pattern purchased, yarn selected, and your swatch knit. We’ll give you swatching instructions when you choose your yarn. Skill level: This class is for graduates of Knit 2 and those who are comfortable knitting and purling in the round.
