"The Sunshine In His Soul"

ORIGINAL:  Oil on Linen Sold at Prix de West, National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum Loren's Inspiration:  "I wanted to paint an older Gentleman, a Grandfather figure, that loves music.  I then wanted to add a girl, perhaps his granddaughter, dancing with a bright yellow dress that would be complimentary to her beautiful skin. I found the perfect dress at an antique store, but it was white. I had it dyed the perfect shade of yellow for this painting. I enjoy collecting vintage clothing such as this for my paintings.  My favorite eras are the 20's, 30's, 40's & 50's."
