How ‘Bout Them Apples Bundle

Explore what apple finishes add to whiskey with this bundle. Here at Lost Lantern, we of course love whiskey. We are also huge fans of apple-based spirits, from apple brandy to Calvados to applejack to Pommeau. And we think barrels that previously aged these spirits make truly phenomenal finishing casks for whiskey.  In fact, apple-based finishes are one of our favorite new American finishing traditions. And this bundle showcases them in three different forms.  Two of the whiskies are finished in apple brandy casks, but the whiskies themselves are extremely different: one is a 7-year-old rye from New York Distilling Co., and the other is a mesquite-smoked single malt from Santa Fe Spirits in New Mexico. In both cases, the apple brandy finish amplifies the spicy, fruity notes of the whiskies, but their flavor profiles are worlds apart.
