Abstract Pear

This bold piece of work was created using a medley of media, including acrylic and watercolor along with digital enhancement. The pear was painted utilizing an impasto technique which calls for the layering on of color with a palette knife. One color must dry before the next can be added. Next, the wispy tendrils of the foliage surrounding the pear were superimposed with watercolor brush strokes. The last step was to add the lettering digitally, finalizing a uniquely abstract and surreal pear.
