Pinolith, also known as pinolite, is a beautifully intricate marble comprised of dolomite, magnesite, and graphite. Its name derives from pine nuts, the shape of which are reminiscent of pinolith’s magnesite crystal structures. The graphite content imparts a beautiful grey shimmer to the individual crystals. This is a fairly rare material that comes from only a few small deposits in Austria and Spain. This is a rough, unpolished slab. Please observe images closely for flaws, as some degree of that is normal. Pictured wet and dry. Approximate measurements: Weight: 177 grams Height & Width: 4” x 2.75” at its widest points Depth: 0.4” to 0.34” taper Origin: Austria Treatments: None General info: Rough Rock Slabs
