This comes from one of the most renowned sources of variscite in the world: Lucin, Utah. A close relative of turquoise, variscite is actually the rarer of the two. Boasting an absolutely stunning web of rich apple-green variscite in a cream-colored matrix, the dabs of color in this cab appear to be smattered across the surface, like flicked paint. A fantastic webbed specimen of this increasingly classic American material. Cut in a freeform variation of a parallelogram and stabilized for strength, durability, and color preservation. The back of this stone shows an approximately 4mm inclusion of a medium-grey mineral, possibly Crandalite. Approximate measurements: Weight: 28.15 carats Width & Height: 32.7mm x 15.4mm at widest points Dome apex: 7.3mm Girdle width: 4mm Treatment: Stabilized Finish: All sides polished Cutting Details: Cabochon Overview
