Fossil hunters often find them buried in sediment layers, especially in areas that were once covered by oceans, using tools or diving techniques to carefully extract the teeth. These fossils are treasured for their size, unique triangular shape, and the mystery of the extinct megalodon, which was one of the largest sharks in history.
