"Margaret's Wisdom" - Original Oil Painting

The female orangutan depicted, "Margaret," represents the rainforest which is currently being burned to make space for Oil Palm farms. "Margaret's Wisdom" is part of a series of oil paintings created to raise awareness of global deforestation.  The orangutan is the most intelligent and docile of all primates. With fewer than 1,400 Sumatran Orangutans and less than 800 Tapulani Orangutans left in the wild, their species is facing extinction. 20% of proceeds will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund to help raise awareness and prevent of rainforest destruction.  This is an original oil painting (40" x 30" x 0.75) on stretched canvas.
