This highly detailed Statement cuff was inspired by a short documentary I watched about Peregrine Falcons living atop the tall buildings and old steel bridges here where I live in Oregon. The curve of silver wire like that of talon and feather, and rising skyward like that of a deco style tower. Wildness and nature's perfect form, living among human created form.   I had a dream about draping chains to the sides, then imagined a design that could work, and so pleased with the result.   Four of my hand cast Peregrine Falcon talons surround gemmy, natural Stone Mountain turquoise that was cut and cabbed right here at home by my partner and 3rd generation Lapidarist, Max Avila. Above and below are rose cut deep black onyx and an abundance of texture and detail.       This piece was a true labor of love, from my making molds of the talons and hand casting, to all the hand fabricated details.
