DATASHEET A Wavelength Calibration light source typically houses a lamp containing compressed gas which when an electrical current is passed across generates repeatable and consistent emission lines which can be used to calibrate an optical spectrometer. This lamp source can be operated either by the included power supply or fitted with a 9V battery for portable use. Fiber optic cable is not included, and cable used is typically selected based on the instrument being calibrated.
