Mt. Mambo Triptych - I gave myself permission to “just play” and Mt. Mambo was born. My goal was to create an abstract mountain using blocks of bright color. When I stepped back to observe the first panel, I noticed some of the shapes resembled dancers. They had magically appeared without purposeful intent. I then consciously included dancers as I painted the next two panels, and this abstract realism has become one of the most popular triptychs at the Gallery. — Diana Madaras
