
Unsweetened Natural Hawaiian Cocoa Powder
We finally made a cocoa powder with our Hawaiian cacao beans!A wonderful addition to our product lineup, as we've had to explain with regret over the years that the Brewing Cacao Tea wouldn't make hot chocolate. It created a lot of understandable disappointment. Well no longer! Our cocoa powder is processed in small batches by pressing out the cocoa butter (which is then used in our milk and dark chocolates!). This means our cocoa powder is considered "natural" style vs alkalized, with a lighter appearance and more fruit forward flavor palate. Like our chocolate itself.It's left unsweetened and sifted for easier use. In factory, we have been experimenting with baking, and have been having a lot of fun learning the differences with natural cocoa powder vs alkalized! It does retain more natural acidity than the alkalized version, which may mean minor adjustments to your amount of leavening. But we enjoy the taste of the natural powder as sometimes the alkali powder, though stronger flavo
