Chrysocolla is a bright blue mineral that naturally forms near large copper ore deposits and is generally found with other copper-rich minerals, such as malachite and turquoise. This top-quality chrysocolla is from Peru and is perfect for projects that require a pop of color! This material is also a great choice for woodworking projects, since chrysocolla is a relatively soft mineral, with a Moh's hardness of 2.5-3.5. Our medium material is considered to be sand sized (very coarse sand to fine sand), ranging between 2 millimeters to 0.25 millimeters.
