Purple jade, commonly referred to as lavender jade, is a rare mineral that is only found in two localities: Turkey and Myanmar. Lavender jade is an uncommon form of jadeite, a pyroxene mineral, which derives its distinctive purple hue from trace amounts of manganese. This crushed purple jade is from Turkey and is of superb quality (grade AAA) with a striking violet hue when wet.
