His formal name is Cristil’s Golden Prince named in honor of the long-time radio voice Jack Cristil. His name is Jak; his title is Bully. Jak, an American Kennel Club registered English Bulldog, was sired by TaTonka's Golden Sun "Champ" (Bully XX) in October 2014. He took over for Champ in April 2015 at the Maroon and White Spring Football Game. Jak joins an impressive portfolio of famous university icons and mascots rendered by award-winning national artist Stephen Malkoff. Malkoff's last collegiate work brings Jak face-to-face with students, alumni and supporters of the 138 year old university located in Starkville, Meridian, Biloxi, and Vicksburg.
