It offers a bit more mid-palate creaminess than most years but also retains terrific freshness and energy. Candied lemon, tangerine peel, passion fruit, jasmine and crushed rocks all race across the palate. The 2023 has the most Smillon ever herean inspired choice, to be sure, yielding an especially versatile dry white. I would be delighted to have a case at the house.
