Agape - Queen Tamar Mlke Long Cross Necklace in Color
This regal cross is inspired by Queen Tamar Mlke of Vaspourakan. Along with her husband King Gagik Artsrouni, she was a benefactor of the Holy Cross Cathedral in Akhtamar island, and helped preserve a historically significant manuscript which became known as the Gospel of Queen Mlke (862 AD). The hand-enameled botanical ornamentation on this cross resembles the illustrations from her gospel. The center stone is an Olivine Bohemian crystal, and it represents the life-giving nature of the cross, and the Amethyst color gives a royal appearance. The rope design represents strength and flexibility. This piece is suspended from a soft rope chain.
