While they may have a higher upfront cost, these stainless steel spanners require far less frequent replacement, ultimately saving you both time & money over the long term.  Commonly used with 1-1/4" wide wheels that have a plain bore or a short roller bearing kit meaning the wheel has internal thrust washers & a 1-1/2" hub length. When using a spanner inside a wheel, the bracket, washer or nut should tighten against the spanner, not the wheel, allowing the wheel to spin freely.
