Low Layer Chef's Knife
This Chef’s knife was made from forge-welding layers of 15N20 and 1095 high-carbon steel. The finished billet was then hand-forged into shape. After refining the geometry, the blade was sanded and etched multiple times to reveal a unique, random pattern. The handle is made from an cool looking Box Elder burl and black Paper Micarta. I can custom-make one for this knife if you'd like to add a leather sheath. You can find that here. Note: The patina on a high-carbon knife is truly beautiful and unique, much like a snowflake—no two are alike. It's a sign of a well-used, well-loved knife. Over time, the blade will develop a natural patina and darken with use. However, be aware that it may stain if acidic food residue isn't promptly removed. Find care instructions here.
