Lapis and Gold Earrings

Evocative of Middle Eastern tile pieces, these earrings are eye-catching and easy to wear. Two fancy cut lapis lazuli cabochons of a triple teardrop (or pointed, fluted drop) shape are fastened to 14 karat yellow gold backs, which create a visual golden ring around the outline of the lapis cabochons. The lapis is a bright, deep blue, with natural inclusions of pyrite and calcite present. The earrings are post-style and are secured with comfortable hinged omega backs.
