Lapis and Gold Ring

A gorgeous and generously sized oval-shaped dark blue lapis lazuli cabochon is centered in a highly polished 14 karat gold setting with a rope border, creating a ring that is striking in its design. Lapis lazuli is a hard stone gem known for its vivid, deep blue hue. This specimen contains one of lapis’ best known inclusions: pyrite. The way the pyrite inclusions display on this jewel - scattered silver pinpoints of pyrite - gives this gemstone the beautiful impression of a night sky. The ring features split shoulders and a narrow but solid gold band.   More details: Central lapis cabochon measures 15.3mm tall and 11.1mm wide; bezel framing lapis measures 3.9mm all around. Setting rises 8.0mm off the finger. At back of ring, narrowest part of ring shank measures 2.1mm. Ring size 7 / UK O.
