Summer 2025 started off with several bangs. Just a week into June, protests against ICE terror erupted in L.A., rapidly spreading across the country. Workers and youth poured onto the streets, taking militant action to protect their families and coworkers from being kidnapped by federal thugs. Trump’s brief and ineffective war in Iran shook the confidence of his base. So much for “ending the forever wars!” He is already failing to deliver on his much-touted “golden age.” As this continues, more and more workers will see his campaign promises as more hot air coming from yet another politician. Less than a week after the ceasefire announcement, Zohran Mamdani—a self-described democratic socialist— won the Democratic nomination in the NYC mayoral race.
