In Scotland, the term 'Wee Beastie' sometimes refers to small midges, which despite their tiny size have an unpleasant bite. Ardbeg's youngest matured whisky fits the description, displaying a similarly strong “bite”, with an intense peat smoke and strong pepper and spice notes.
