Solid brass can't rust and is perfect for interior or exterior use.  Please note these hooks are measured by their usable length (distance from wall to bearing point), and the actual dimensions are slightly longer. 4" hook fits any lamp or lantern up to 8" diameter including the DHR Mini-Trawler Lamp and the EITC Ship's Cargo Lantern. Also works with popular hurricane lamps and other similar designs. 6" hook fits any lamp or lantern up to 12" diameter including the Den Haan (DHR) Trawler Lamp, including both the 8201/O (oil) and the 8201/E (electric) versions.
