
IRF: It’s All About the Deficits: IGC Coding Tips
"Which IGC should I use?” is a common question heard on the UDSMR clinical support help desk. Often our response is, “What are the patient’s deficits?”. A clinical specialist at UDSMR will use some common examples to describe which impairment group to select based on deficits, when the diagnosis alone is not the best predictor of a patient’s IGC. At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to: Identify deficits typically associated with certain IGCs Recognize when there may not be enough information to determine the best IGC for a case To receive continuing education credit for this recorded training, each participant must attend the module in its entirety and complete a course evaluation.
